Welcome! My name is Caitlin and I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University. I am honored to have clinical experience supporting diverse populations across the lifespan in navigating experiences of ASD, ADHD, life transitions, identity exploration, trauma, grief, loss, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression.
Working with neurodivergent youth and adults is a passion of mine, in which I focus on prioritizing client special interests, sensory needs, autonomy, and strengths. I emphasize creating a safe, affirming therapeutic space where clients can feel empowered to embrace their true selves and gain meaningful tools that align with their values. For neurodivergent youth, I often integrate music, art, crafts, games, sensory play activities, and movement activities to help create an engaging therapeutic process that supports them with their goals.
Overall, I enjoy using an eclectic, person-centered approach fused with creativity and curiosity to support clients’ unique needs. I incorporate therapy techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), humanistic therapy, and play therapy modalities into my approach to help cultivate client growth and healing.
Outside of work, I cherish time with my husband, my sweet dog, Mika, and loved ones. Some of my hobbies include reading, hiking, meditating, and listening to podcasts. I remain in awe of the human experience, with a deep appreciation for learning about relationships, cultures, dreams, and spirituality!
